Speaker 1: Today, in our 2006 Yamaha Kodiak ATV, we'll be having a look at, and installing, the Super Winch LT 3000 ATV Winch, part number SW1130220, in conjunction with the Bulldog Winch Custom Steel ATV Mount, part number BDW15138.All right, here's what our winch looks like installed. As you can see, we didn't lose any of our ground clearance at all on our ATV. Our winch won't cause us to get stuck. If we do get stuck, we can use it to get out.On the side here we have our spool. Superwinch Electric Winch - Car Trailer Winch - SW1475201 Review- Video
Today we're going to take a look at the Superwinch S7500 SR Winch. It has a synthetic rope, a roller hawse fairlead, and a 7,500 pound weight capacity. Now this Superwinch trailer winch will pull 7,500 pounds with a 3.6 horsepower permanent magnet motor that's driven through an all steel, three stage planetary gear box at 26 feet per minute. It has a nice custom aluminum housing which is light and strong and being able to be stepped on was part of the design in this. It has a three spool control here that features this aluminum kick flip lever that can be operated by your foot. It's very smart and simple with no parts to rust. It has the smooth rollers that will handle the bulk of keeping your winch line centered while the knuckles on the end here will ensure even angle pulls are covered. Again the rated line pull on this is 7,500 pounds, the motor is a sealed 3.6 HP magnet motor, and the gearing is 3-stage planetary gear, and they use a steal gear alloy for nice long life. more

Right here at the front we are going to have an aluminium hawse fairlead that is going to reduce wear and tear on the synthetic rope. It does feature a free spooling clutch with and ergonomic control located right here on this side of the wench. It's got two positions, you are going to have an engage position and a disengage position. We're also going to have the heavy duty series motor. This is going to deliver superior torque output as well as faster line speed. Now the Breaking System on the unit is an automatic full load CBS Break mechanism CBS is going to be your cone break structure. The breaking mechanism is mounted outside the drum rather than inside the drum, so that's going to help disperse heat quicker. The Wench is going feature a tough aluminum die-cast housing with a steel drum built for strength and durability. Its going to come with your industrial grade water-proof remote control that's going feature a thermal metric LED indicator, located on the switch that's going to automatically alert you when the motor is over heating. You are going to get about 17 feet of cord. Nice protected toggle switch right here, easy thumb operation, finger indention on the back with a wrist tether; that way its always secured to you when you're operating. There's going to be a plug right here on the other end of the cord and that plug is going plug directly into the mating connector right here on the side of the contact that's mounted on top of the Wench. It's got the dust cap on it so when the connector is not plugged in you just seal that back up and its going to protect those connection points. Now again its going to have the 9000 lb rated single line pull and max load the wench is going to have a line speed of 6.4 feet per minute with a power drawl 350 amps at 12 volts. With no load its going to have a line speed of 44 feet per minute with a power drawl of 55 amps at 12 volts. The motor is a 4.6 horsepower 12 volt series 1 motor. Its also going to feature the ergonomic "T" handle, this is going to engage the free spool clutch through multiple evenly spaced locking holes. So right now its in the engaged position, that means we could have the remote hooked up and we could control the in-and-out functions of the Wench using the remote. We can flip it up and move it to a disengaged position that's going allow up to grab on the end of the rope using the hand-saver strap; extend the rope out and connect it to our load or anchor point. So that offers fast synthetic rope pay out. Now another neat feature I like about this is, depending on your mounting application the "T" handle could interfere with some other areas that its mounted around. What they've done is they've actually created this so that you could loosen up the hardware here on the end and you could rotate that handle to that desired position here around the drum area and then just tighten back the hardware to secure it in place; so you could relocate the location of that handle to best fit that particular application. Now its going to come with all necessary wiring and hardware straight out the box. All of this was pretty much assembled the only thing I had to do, all the wiring was already connected, all I had do was connect my hook to the end of the rope. more

Today we're going to be looking at part number CU643512. This is the Come Up DV-3500I Utility winch. It's going to have the wire up design. The winch is going to be designed to be flexible tool for loading trailers or moving various vehicles or boats into position. We have a compact and lightweight design that allows for a wide range of applications on trailers and boats. Compact design meaning that it's only going to measure about 16 and a half inches long, by 9 inches deep or wide, and then the height from bottom to top is about 6 and 1/8 of an inch. When it comes to the weight with the wire rope installed it's going to weight about 30 pounds. We're going to have the nice weather resistant plastic housing here on this side of the winch and as well over the cable area. Everything else on the unit like this part right here, nice heavy duty metal construction, looks to have a nice powder coat finish on it to resist weather and corrosion and lasts a long time against the elements. This does have your power in and power out functions, that's going to allow you to easily pull the load in or easily extend the rope out to make your connection. When it comes to the motor we're looking at a high torque permanent magnet motor that's going to deliver high light pull at low amp draw. Dual breaking system, that's going to ensure holding the load without slippage so you're going to have the automatic load holding mechanical break and you're going to have the motor dynamic break for strength and reliability. It's going to come with your hand held remote that's going to control the in and out functions of the winch. more
